The National Museum (Gajah)




This lies at Jl. Merdeka Barat 12, Central Jakarta. It offers the collection of Indonesia archaeological artifacts. The collection goes as far back as prehistoric times. Check the ceramics collection which is said to be one or the best available in the country. This was built in 1778 by The Dutch Science and Art Organization in Batavia.

Gedung Juang’45 The location is at Jl. Menteng Raya 31, Central Jakarta. The attraction and the facilities available such as the old times buildings, visualization, exhibition hall and library are offered. This building is the place for the national youth to prepared the Indonesian freedom.
National Monument This museum is located in Jl. Silang Monas, Central Jakarta. The attraction available such as panorama of Jakarta, struggling diorama, the record of proclamation text by the President Ir. Soekarno and duplicate of Indonesian army clothes and Indonesian map. The activities and the facilities are research, library, exhibition and office rooms.

National Resurrection Museum Lies at Jl. Abdul Saleh 26, Central Jakarta. The attractions are the history of STOVIA student collection. The facilities such as auditorium and library are available. It was built in occasion of remembering of the National resurrection to the freedom of Indonesia.
Jakarta Culture Center (Taman Ismail Marzuki) Located at Jl. Cikini Raya 73, the culture Center is a complex of 6 modern theatres (both indoor an outdoor), and auditorium, a rehearsal and exhibition hall, an art school, a sizable planetarium.

Youth Pledge Museum (Soempah Pemuda Museum) Lies at Jl. Kramat Raya 106, Central Jakarta. The activities and the facilities are auditorium, exhibition hall and library. It opens from 08.00-14.00. This museum was built to commemorate The Youth Pledge.
Proklamator Monument Located at Jl. Proklamasi 56, Central Jakarta. The attractions are the beautiful park, and the proclamation visualization. The facilities are guide, office and publication. Opens everyday and from 09.00-17.00.
Satria Mandala Museum Located at Jl. Gatot Subroto 14, South Jakarta. The attractions available are diorama, Military aircraft collection, ABRI (army) uniform and documents.
Opens everyday and at 09.00-16.30.
Pancasila Sakti Museum The attraction available are dioramas, some documentation and historical miniature . This was built to commemorate G 30 S/PKI coup d' etat in 1965. Located in Jl. Raya Pondok Gede, East Jakarta.
